Online classes are done through Zoom or Skype; all you will need is a stable Internet connection and a place to put your device so the piano is visible. We pride ourselves on having the same quality or better lesson in the online format. With video chat, we get the one-on-one interaction and view that you would in a regular lesson. We use screen sharing of digital copies of the music to mark and write in notes, and our student login provides you with assignments and supplemental video links after the lesson to guide you in your practice throughout the week.

Why Online?
recorded lessons.
Zoom and Skype lessons are recorded and your teacher will upload them to a folder for you to watch anytime. No wondering in the week what your teacher said about a certain passage, just listen to the lesson again.
student portal.
Our online student portal through My Music Staff is your guide to online lessons, containing your assignments and online resources to use through the week.
Flexibility.
Packed schedule? Unable to drive to lessons because of weather? With online class, you don’t have to go anywhere, but can study from the comfort of your own home.
innovative.
Zoom whiteboard games for writing music. Video sharing a professional performance. Online MIDI keyboard connection for teacher-student demonstration. We strive to come up with fresh, interactive ways to involve students in class.
independence.
In an online lesson, students have to write in their own music, write down assignments, and find different sections in their music. This enables student-led learning and involvement that leads to true understanding.
Safety.
With Covid-19 and social distancing, safety is a top priority. Online lessons are completely safe, and provide a social and creative outlet and constancy when things are uncertain.
